Participatory education for primary school children
Together without racism is an EU-funded project that was launched at the end of 2021. The project implements an anti-racist education package for 4th-6th graders in primary school. The training helps to form a broad understanding of racism, its manifestations, one’s own prejudices and privileges. Participatory lessons and functional workshops provide new information and ways for all participants, children and adults, to address anti-racist themes.
For professionals, the training provides an easy starting point to continue handling anti-racist themes in their work. The education package offers a process-like, deeper learning opportunity than a single lesson and provides tools to the classroom teacher to take the theme as an active part of classroom teaching.
The project Together without racism is supported by the national program of the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.
